Meet the Team: Jimi Ramirez

Jimi is the chillest of chill graphic designers based in our Las Vegas office. Nothing seems to faze him as he bounces between projects with ease and an understanding smile. With his background in (probably legal) graffiti, he is our go-to designer for amazing hand-drawn logos and special projects around the office…like this here table. Let’s learn more about him!
Who are you and what do you do at BT?
Well hello, my name is Jimi Ramirez and I’m a graphic designer here at Braintrust.
What are some life highlights that brought you to be a graphic designer and to Braintrust?
Like most designers out there, my art career began way back in elementary school. I would always enjoy drawing people’s names and other random things. I never knew where that was going to take me but I knew I wanted to create beautiful things for people to enjoy. I ended up engaging in street art/graffiti which eventually led me to study graphic design in college. After graduation, I bounced around a few agencies which ultimately led me here.
What is your favorite project you have worked on at Braintrust?
Hmmm, let me think…I must say working on the rebrand of Downtown Las Vegas Events Center was a pretty enjoyable project to be a part of.
What keeps you sane at the office on long, busy days?
I would have to say listening to music, Youtube, and occasionally scrolling through social media.
How do you unwind after that long, busy day?
I usually go home and spend time with the family and catch some Netflix if I have time.
Any words of inspiration for kids that want to grow up to be graphic designers?
Always try to push yourself each time to do better than the last and strive to step out of your comfort zone.
Learn to take rejection with a positive attitude and grow from that experience.
Do you have any pets?
Unless you consider my children as pets, I currently do not.
